Ayurveda is
a comprehensive medical system known as traditional medicine by
the Indian government and the WHO. Practice as a doctor in
Ayurveda requires 5 years (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and
Surgery) to 7 years (MD) studies in Ayurvedic University in India.
There are
different types of therapies in Ayurveda. During a
preliminary consultation, the doctor determines what is the most
appropriate therapy. It also prescribes the products used for
treatments, medicines, food. The practice of Yoga, rest and tranquility
in a natural environment are also part of the therapies.
SHODHANACHIKITSA:
This therapy aims to eliminate causes of somatic andpsychosomatic
illness or health problem. It includes techniques to eliminate
internal and external toxins. By detoxifying the body, it regenerates,
and at the same time increase cell regeneration and immunity. It is
particularly useful in cases of neurological problems, muscle or joint
disorders, vascular problems, respiratory diseases and degenerative
diseases.
SHAMANA
CHIKITSA: This therapy does not eliminate toxins, but
simply prescribes ayurvedic medicines, specific appetizing, digestive
substances, palliative and sedative ayurvedic treatments.
PATHYAVYASVASTHA:
This therapy includes all the indications and contraindications in food,
activity, habits, behaviour and mental strength. This element can
increase the effect of therapy and slow the disease process. The
main goal is to ensure proper digestion, proper assimilation to give
strength to the tissues. It is part of the 'duties' of ayurvedic
patients who must be responsible of their health.
NIDANPARIVARJAN:
can be considered as part of Pathya vyasvastha since thistherapy aims
at eliminating in the diet and lifestyle of the patient all bad habits
in order to avoid aggravation or recurrence of health problems.
SATVAVAJAYA: This
procedure involves listening, discussion, advice to develop
mentalstrength, courage and concentration, as well as balanced
lifestyle and positive thinking.
RASAYANA:
This therapy is designed to promote strength and vitality, to strengthen
all components of the body, increase memory, immunity,cellular
regeneration, the glow of skin, to develop mental abilities and
physical.
