We created
AMSHA to promote a return to the roots of Ayurveda. Today this ancient
science of India is growing at international level. It fascinates, it
intrigues, it attracts more and more people. Its methods and results are
no longer ignored by modern science. Unfortunately, it often happens
that people want to go too fast, simplify, remain superficial to be
profitable .. and we miss the essential gift of Ayurveda!
As we
daily study and practice the principles of Ayurveda for many years, it
became obvious to us that this millenary knowledge is simply the oldest
SCIENCE OF PERSONAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE WORLD!
Indeed, Ayurveda
aims at helping us achieve the best of ourselves, to develop our
capacities, to live in harmony with ourselves but also with what
surrounds us. According to ayurvedic principles, we are made of the same
five elements that make up everything in the universe, we cannot ignore
this deep connexion.
Ayurveda, holistic
science, is here to remind us that we are part of a whole universe and
that our development cannot be at the expense of Nature. The
interconnection between the elements of creation is the basic principle
of Ayurveda. We can respect ourselves and find harmony through
Ayurveda, but we must also apply its rules to respect and
harmonize the planet.
From Lille to Kovalam
The unusual
journey into ' the land of Ayurveda' AMSHA offers is not a coincidence
or a trend. Amsha was founded in France in 2004 by
Anne Vanackère, Ayurvedic Consultant, to promote the ayurvedic
way of life through programs of counseling, lecture and workshops. Since
then, Amsha has partnered with recognized ayurvedic centers in Kerala
to offer its customers the opportunity to discover the authentic
ayurvedic medicine (recognized by the WHO).
Amsha now
works with eight ayurvedic hospitals in southern India. We also selected
charming small hotels, guesthouses as well as two specialized travel
agents so you can discover the history and life of South India.
End 2008,
the AMSHA team has grown with the arrival of Catherine Lequibain and
Binu Vincent. The idea of 'Amsha in India' has finally become reality in
the spring of 2009! We are now settled in Kerala to be at the heart of
the tradition and the future of Ayurveda. The new projects are not
lacking, but priority is given to 'VEDAPURA, home of the veda' which
will be a showcase of ayurvedic, eco friendly and eco
sustainable products of southern India. Vedapura will bring
together producers, craftmen, associations involved in programs
of sustainable development, protection of environment, promotion of
ancestral knowledge.

TEAM
ANNE, in charge of Ayurveda
Profile: After
10 years in international trade, I discovered Yoga and Ayurveda, which
gave me a new idea of life and what I could do to give it a meaning. For
11 years, I've been studying and practicing Yoga and Ayurveda. The
lessons of my teachers, Dr. Vinod Verma and Prof. M.Ferrini gave me the
will to dedicate my energy to help convey the principles of Vedic
Sciences.
Wish: I
wish AMSHA becomes a bridge between India and the West, a meeting place
where everyone can find the best of Ayurveda, where Ayurveda
will demonstrate its eternity, its eternal youth, and its ability to
meet the needs of today regarding health but also everyday life, respect
for others and for environment.
